Facility

Our easy-access facility, which began operations June 1998, includes a surgery suite with state-of-the-art monitoring devices, an intensive care/recovery room, an isolation ward for infectious disease cases (to protect other pets), in-house laboratory and digital radiology (x-ray). We are located on Highway 11 (Lee Highway) and are the last business on the right as you leave Ooltewah headed toward Cleveland.  If the road becomes 2 lanes, you have passed us.  If you would like to see a map or directions, please click here.

The well equipped surgical facilities can handle most types of soft tissue surgery.  A surgical technician, always in attendance, monitors and controls anesthesia and assists the surgeon. 

A separate digital radiology (x-ray) room, with state of the art on site digital image processing, is equipped with the most advanced veterinary radiology unit available. Because the images are digital, they are easy to send electronically to specialists for consultation and to copy onto a CD for owners' personal records.

We have a separate Dentistry suite fully equipped with nitrogen powered fiberoptic drill and digital dental radiology. We can uncover sources of pain and infection before the naked eye can see them. The dental radiology images are digital as well, so they can be consulted on by a veterinary dentist.

The climate-controlled animal housing is clean and cozy.  A limited number of hospitalized animals allows one-on-one interaction with doctor and staff.

Not every animal hospital has digital radiology or even dental radiology of any kind.  Their presence at Applebrook proves our continuing commitment to provide the absolute BEST care for our patients.
